Camping 7/26-7/28/2013

Camping!   It turned out better than I expected.  Brenden did great and we even learned a few things about him in the process.  It's always a learning adventure with a child who is called "not normal" Autistic.  He's normal to us and certainly showed us that he can interact with all the other kids when he really wants to.

First up, the clubhouse is what i will call it.  Kind of a far away picture but Brenden loved this.  There was a neighbor boy that had toy guys and Brenden and Chase, son of Rob Adam, played with this little boy all weekend.  It was great seeing Brenden getting involved.
 

Brenden even had some long time play mates over.  After them having fun in the sand box and club house, we made smores.   I think they liked them.

Later that night awesome fire with blue.

Unfortunately it rained Sunday morning just as we was packing up to go home.  Bummer.

But after the fun filled weekend, we said we would do it all over again, next year.   We came home to a talking Brenden.  Not just trying to say new words, but actually talking and repeating everything we said.  We need to push him out of his element more often I guess.   I call this a successful camping trip #2
