Baltimore/Hershey

It's summer.  Everyone is on vacation.   We decided to take a small trip this year to Baltimore Inner Harbor, Baltimore Aquarium and Hershey's Chocolate World.   We thought it would be a good trip for Brenden since all this should be right up his ally.   He seemed very excited to go since he started saying "Aquarium" five days prior to us going.  Each day we had to take him to his schedule strips and try to show him how many days he had to wait.   With a child, this is very hard since all children last patience.    The days came and went and the day was finally here.  

The day in Baltimore turned out great.  Yes Brenden was tired and over stimulated, cranky and kept saying "Back Brenden's house" but it could have been worse.  

I just love these pictures of him.  You can't tell it but the jelly fish was the last thing we saw and by this point Brenden was wandering.  I'm shocked that we got such a great picture of him.   As usual though, we take Brenden out of his element and he surprises us.

Once Brenden got a good nights sleep he was in better spirits.   He asked right away when he got up "Back Brenden's House'?   We could finally say yes after Hershey's Chocolate World.

We are now in mid August and soon the kiddo will be going to Kindergaten.  Time for mommy to start worrying.

Rain, rain, rain, we love it now.

Rain - noun- moisture condensed from the atmosphere that falls visibly in separate drops.

I love to play in the rain.   I always hoped my child would love to play in it.   Many people rush their children inside when it rains.  What's wrong with playing in the rain?  It can be fun and very entertaining.   

When I realized Brenden was so sensitive to rain, dirt, sand, grass...etc  on him or touching him my hope dwindled.   I thought, he would never like the rain especially playing and running in it.  

To my surprise,  after years of pushing him out of his comfort zone this is what I find:

The pictures say it all!  He loves it now!   So next time it rains, dance in it, run in it, just stand it in and enjoy.
